I set the energy of the song to be very low initially and I had the energy gradually increase over time. The mood of the song is inconsistent and changes gradually throughout the song. The energy and mood are rather symmetrical throughout the song however. The energy is high in the middle of the song and is very low in the beginning and end of the song. I started by creating a combination of tracks that I liked but I did not like the low energy of the song. I could not find a better combination fast enough so I decided to gradually increase the energy as I added more tracks. I discovered tempo automation which helped me to control the energy. I also discovered fade automation which combined with energy control helped me to somewhat control the flow. I learned about tempo automation and how to use the tempo to manipulate the energy and mood of the song.
I created this song by using some of the tracks above. I wanted a way to have multiple a certain track with different pitches and a very easy way to change those pitches instantly so I copied the track multiple times and adjusted the pitch of each copy. Instead of using a beat as the base for the song I decided to use a bass. I adjusted the pitch of the bass such that the energy and mood was to my liking. I then adjusted the pitch of each of the green tracks such that the energy of the tracks were close to the energy of the bass even if the mood was different. I did the same for the yellow tracks. In the red coloum there was one track that I liked more than every other track especially with different pitches. I decided to primarly use that track in my song. In the making of this song I focused less on the mood of the song and more on the energy of the individual tracks. I roughly learned how to use the Ableton software and I learned how much the pitch of a track effects the track. I also learned the effect of making the tracks relativly consistent throughout the song.
Rushing Back Remix
This song contained different sections which were 1 intro, 3 verses, 3 choruses, 1 bridge, and 1 outro. I remixed each of these sections separately but I made each of the same type of section have very similar moods and energies to each. The intro only lasted about 1 second so there was not any need to remix the intro. For the verses I created multiple beats with high energy that would flow well into the choruses. For the chrouses I decided to add one beat and multiple tracks with much lower energy and a different mood. I also added many effects to each track to alter the mood and energy to make each track fit better with each other and to alter the flow so it flows better into the next section. The bridge contained one rather generic beat and not much else. The outro contained one beat and one other track with low energy. These tracks faded out resulting in a decrease of energy until the end of the song. I roughly learned how the non-automatable effects work and how to use them. I also learned how to effectivly combine multiple beats with each other.
I created a beat using the beat-maker and decided to base the energy and mood of the song off of the beat that I created. I added tracks to the song that had a similar energy and mood to the beat and arranged them in way that flowed well. I added some sweep effects to adjust the mood of the song such that it was consistent with the energy and pan and volume effects to make every track audible. I learned how to use Soundtrap in the process of making this song and I also learned what the different automatable effects do and why they are important and I roughly learned how to use them.
